We wanted to update you on some changes that have been happening in the practice. On 7th February we recruited to a NEW post in the practice of Customer Service Manager; Sam Gardner.
We know that it's been difficult to contact the surgery by phone. We are not alone in this, every practice has issues with this, it's a well known national problem.
However, it's important to us as a practice to continually improve and to look to tackle the difficult issues we face.
One of the things we have done in the last 6 weeks is introduce a new telephone system, which enables Sam to monitor the calls coming in and how long each call has been waiting. Because of this we have changed how we deal with the calls; we have created a 'call centre' room which is free from internal interruptions so that those taking calls are 100% available to deal with you in a timely manner.
We hope that you will see a massive improvement, we can already see it's made a huge difference!
